Chengdu, China – Quantentech has successfully closed a new round of equity financing led by Panlin Capital, with co-investment from SBI Chengdu and Derunjia Capital. This round follows closely on a Pre-A follow-on round exercised by existing investors including Panlin Capital, InnoAngel Fund, and Chongqing Pengrui. The combined proceeds from both rounds total nearly 100 million RMB.
The fresh capital will fuel and accelerate the commercialization of Quantentech’s proprietary software-defined electric drive technology, with a strong focus on expanding R&D capabilities, scaling production, and deepening and expanding market penetration across the automotive, robotics, and eVTOL sectors. These strategic initiatives underscore Quantentech’s commitment to delivering high-performance, cost-efficient, and intelligent drive systems for a rapidly evolving electrification landscape.

For years, Quantentech has focused on disruptive technical innovation and product development in electric drive systems. Building on its core expertise on smart multi-phase electric drive system, the company developed a proprietary software-defined super electric drive technology centered on dynamically reconfigurable motor and drive technology. This technology, featuring dynamic "pole-changing and phase-changing" configurations, increases power density by 50% and reduces material costs by 30% compared to conventional solutions. As a result, Quantentech offers uniquely compact, efficient, and robust powertrain solutions tailored to the demands of new energy vehicles (NEVs), humanoid robotics, and eVTOLs.
Currently, Quantentech’s product portfolio covers light-truck e-axles, passenger vehicle boost drives, and small vehicle traction drives. The company has collaborated with multiple leading automakers in various market segments, and supported emerging applications such as humanoid robotics and eVTOLs, leading the industry in torque density, reliability, and efficiency.
Two core product platforms anchor Quantentech’s offering: high-performance boost drives and cost-effective main drives for light vehicles. Designed to meet the needs of mainstream passenger cars, light to medium duty trucks, logistics vehicles, and small vehicles. Quantentech has established a pilot production facility with an annual capacity of 100,000 integrated units, and started pioneer production of high-power-density, high-efficiency rare-earth-free induction drive systems and product development of high-performance reduced-rare-earth synchronous motor drive systems, all in proprietary smart multi-phase technologies. These innovations, with much better power density, efficiency, and reliability than competing technologies, address the fundamental technical bottlenecks in automotive drives and also suit well the stringent requirements in emerging applications such as humanoid robots’ joint motors and eVTOL propulsion motors. Notably, the Company’s robot joint motors drastically outperform existing torque motors in power density and efficiency, enabling compact, efficient, and durable linear/rotary joints and pave the way for smaller, smarter, and more agile robotic systems with enhanced real-world utility.

This funding round injects new momentum into Quantentech’s rapid commercialization and reflects strong market confidence in its next-generation electric drive technology and product roadmap. Dr. Hengchun Mao, Founder of Quantentech, states: “We operate in a dynamic, fast-growing market. We deeply appreciate the support from Panlin Capital, SBI Chengdu, DerunJia, and support of all shareholders, customers and partners. We are poised to accelerate commercialization, drive technological innovation, and deliver superior value across the automotive, robotics, and eVTOL sectors. Quantentech is committed to delivering next-gen powertrain solutions with higher performance, lower cost, and enhanced safety and reliability for these trillion-dollar markets.”
Quantentech’s vision of cost competitive high-performance drive technology enjoys strong support from its investors. Mr. Li Yuhui, Founding Managing Partner of Panlin Capital, commented: “Panlin focuses on core component innovations in NEVs, robotics, and eVTOLs. We are delighted to further invest in Quantentech, a pioneer in disruptive electric drive technology, and lead this round. The company has achieved global technological differentiation with its proprietary drive algorithms. We expect it to launch more cost-effective, intelligent, and lightweight drive products, expanding from NEVs into humanoid robots and eVTOLs to lead the industry.” A partner at SBI Chengdu added: “As NEV electrification advances, demand for advanced, efficient drive systems grows significantly. Quantentech’s unique dynamic pole/phase reconfiguration technology delivers higher power density and performance for NEVs, robots, and eVTOLs. SBI will continue investing in electrification and intelligence, partnering with Quanten to advance China’s NEV industry.”
Quantentech’s latest funding round reinforces market confidence and investment community’s interest in its strategic vision and technological roadmap. Since its founding, Quantentech has made significant contributions to the advancement of electric drive technology, from pioneering software-defined drive architectures to delivering industry-first smart multi-phase platform. Its collaborative work with OEMs and ecosystem partners has helped accelerate the adoption of high-efficiency powertrains in both mainstream electric vehicles and emerging markets. With this new round of investment, Quantentech is well-positioned to scale its commercialization efforts, deepen R&D effort, and continue shaping the future of electric mobility across global markets.
