Quanten Technologies proudly participated in the International Transportation Electrification Conference (ITEC 2025), held from June 18–20 in Anaheim, California, USA. At the event, Quanten presented its high-performance smart multi-phase electric drive system, highlighting significant advancements in cost, efficiency, performance, and commercialization potential for EV and HEV drive systems. This breakthrough is powered by Quanten’s proprietary dynamic configuration technology, which seamlessly integrates innovations in power electronics, motor design, and advanced drive algorithms. Quanten was honored with the "Industry Leader" award, acknowledging its leadership, innovation, and exceptional contribution in the field of electrification.



Dr. Hengchun Mao, Founder of Quanten, delivered a keynote address titled "Developing Smart Multi-Phase Motors and Drives for Next Gen Vehicles". In his speech, Dr. Mao shared insights into the company’s long-standing commitment to fundamental technology innovation in electric drives. He detailed Quanten’s strategic focus on enhancing product competitiveness through the smart control and upgraded design of multi-phase motor systems.


At ITEC 2025 Quanten Technologies exhibited its innovative smart multi-phase motor dive products targeting various automotive applications. At the core of Quanten’s innovation is its dynamic configuration technology, which enables software-defined drive systems with optimization of motor and control across wide operating conditions. This results in significant improvements in power density and torque density, energy efficiency, and system reliability, while simultaneously reducing overall costs. Compared with conventional three-phase solutions, Quanten’s system achieves a 35% reduction in size and a 30% reduction in material costs. Moreover, it substantially lowers reliance on rare earth elements, aligning with the global automotive industry's goals for a sustainable, green supply chain.


Quanten’s technology enhances the electromechanical energy conversion capabilities of a wide range of motor types, including induction motors, electrically excited synchronous motors, and permanent magnet motors, through novel advancements in control algorithms and power electronics. It addresses long-standing industry challenges, such as over-reliance on raw material innovation and manufacturing processes, and offers a paradigm shift in electric drive technology. Quanten’s smart multi-phase drive systems have already been successfully implemented in a variety of applications, including boost drives for passenger cars, main drives for light-duty trucks and cost-sensitive vehicles and plug-in and mild hybrid systems. The technology advancements have earned strong praise from industry experts and peers for their potential to enhance performance and reliability while lowering cost.
