The 18th International Automotive Powertrain Technology Congress (TMC2026) opened on July 9-10th in Nantong, Jiangsu. Quanten showcased its smart multi-phase induction motor, synchronous motor and integrated electric drive product lines, and delivered a seminar titled Smart Multi-Phase Electric Drive Technology and Industrialization at the main forum, presenting the technology’s generational advantages and scaling progress to the industry.

During the seminar, Quanten’s technical team, centering on the core technical philosophy of "software-defined super electric drive", elaborated on the characteristic differences between true multi-phase and multi-three-phase motors, dynamic configuration technology, multi-leg inverters and their control logic, fault-tolerant operation, as well as the impact of multi-phase control on the costs of power devices and DC-link capacitors. The seminar demonstrated that smart multi-phase motor technology delivers comprehensive improvements to key concerns of the electric drive industry, including performance, cost and reliability.

Four series of core products were highlighted at the exhibition, covering all main and boost drive application scenarios and fully demonstrating the company's complete layout in the next-generation electric drive sector: high-reliability, cost-effective nine-phase induction electric drive system; three-in-one high-power-density nine-phase induction boost drive system; multi-in-one cost-effective seven-phase permanent magnet drive system; and high-power-density, cost-effective nine-phase permanent magnet multi-in-one system. The exhibition also featured applications of multi-phase drive systems in high-power joints of humanoid robots and propulsion systems for industrial UAVs.

During the congress, Dr. Mao Hengchun, Chairman of Quanten, was invited to an exclusive conference interview, where he discussed key industry topics including the company’s innovations in motor topology and control, the balance between high performance and low cost, core differentiators of its multi-phase technology, industrialization progress in humanoid robots, low-altitude aircraft and autonomous vehicles, and its future roadmap. The interview demonstrated Quanten’s commitment to innovation-driven growth, and its ongoing efforts to deliver high-performance, cost-efficient products for clients.

As a flagship industry event, TMC2026 gathered over 190 core enterprises and 4,000 professionals, showcasing cutting-edge advances in electric drives, hybrid systems and power semiconductors. Quanten’s exhibited products mark a key milestone in the industrialization of smart multi-phase motor technology, and stand as the industry’s first publicly displayed high-performance smart multi-phase mass-produced products. Garnering high acclaim from dozens of leading domestic and international automakers and industrial partners, they provide a viable technical path for the industry to break through the performance bottleneck of conventional three-phase motors.

As a leading innovator in next-generation electric drives, Quanten focuses on systematic motor and drive technology innovation. Its proprietary multi-phase dynamic configuration technology forms the core of its "software-defined super electric drive" platform, delivering all-round improvements in power density, efficiency, reliability and fault tolerance over standard three-phase solutions.
